Thanks to PhD students Laurel Ahnert and Justin Horton for their excellent report of the 2014 Rendering (the) Visible conference, presented by the Moving Image Studies program. The report appears in the new issue (#8) of AlphavilleJournal of Film and Screen Media. Ahnert presented a paper in the conference, as did MIS students Adam Cottrell, Lauren M. Cramer, Daren Fowler, and Arzu Karaduman, and Horton acted as a panel respondent.

Grad students Ahnert, Cottrell, Kelly Fogwell, and Cameron Kunzelman helped to pull off this conference, which welcomed 40 presenters from seven countries, including keynote speaker Pasi Väliaho (Goldsmiths) and guest speaker and curator Tim Murray (Cornell University’s Rose Goldsen Archive of New Media Art).
